Think of the emotion you feel when you eat food, and all the more when you eat with the people you love, all sharing the same feeling – comfort. That’s what the restaurant feels like, that’s what we had to bring to life through the brand; that's Ode.

BRANDING + ART DIRECTION

Chef Rahul Akerkar had a certain energy when we met him to discuss the brand we wanted to build together. He came with a very strong passion of creating a menu that was a fusion of cultures, flavours and all of his past experiences with food. And through all of those conversations with him, the name 'Ode' came to our minds. The beginning of the restaurant felt like an homage to life in food.

We worked together with the marketing team at Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality and with Rahul Akerkar to create a holistic visual identity for the restaurant, starting from the name to its launch.

Right from the menu and drinks to even the restaurant interiors were a mixture of varied ingredients, textures and forms. We designed a dynamic logo, which was inspired by this fusion. We used 2 different typefaces to bring the 3 alphabets together, and this treatment became unique to how it was used across all collaterals.

Authenticity sat at the heart of the brand. Grounded in a palette of natural, earthy tones that reflected the character of the space, every touchpoint was crafted to evoke emotion and create a deeper sense of connection.

Photography emerged as the defining element of the identity. By capturing raw, unscripted moments and genuine human interactions, we built a visual language that was uniquely ownable to the brand. This flexible system not only strengthened recognition but also allowed for more personalized and adaptable guest experiences.

In a space built around shared experiences, even the coasters had

a role to play. Printed with conjunctions, they acted as subtle conversation starters, inviting guests to continue a thought, tell a story, or ask a question. The idea was simple: turn an otherwise passive object into a tool for connection, making interaction a natural part

of the Ode experience.
